Job Summary The Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) is responsible for pharmacy operations, regulatory compliance, medication safety, staff supervision, and delivering exceptional patient care. The PIC will lead workflow improvements, implement clinical programs, and represent the pharmacy during inspections and audits. Key Responsibilities Serve as licensed Pharmacist in Charge per state law and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and DEA requirements Oversee dispensing accuracy, controlled substance handling, documentation, recordkeeping, and inventory management Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate pharmacy staff (pharmacists, technicians, interns) Develop, maintain, and enforce SOPs and quality assurance processes Provide patient-centered services: prescription verification, counseling, MTM, immunizations, med sync, adherence programs Coordinate with prescribers, long-term care facilities, insurance providers, and PBMs to resolve issues Manage purchasing, pricing, shrink control, returns, and disposals per regulations Lead error reporting, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions Maintain licensure, complete CE, and prepare for/state inspections Qualifications PharmD or BSPharm from accredited school of pharmacy Active state pharmacist license and eligibility to serve as PIC DEA registration or ability to obtain Strong knowledge of pharmacy law, controlled substance regulations, insurance billing, and overall workflow Leadership, attention to detail, creative and excellent communication skills Immunization certification and CPR preferred/required per state Benefits Potential Ownership and legacy for the future Competitive salary + performance-based bonuses Health, dental, vision insurance Paid time off and CE allowance; licensure/DEA fee reimbursement Professional development and clinical service support Relocating funds available How to Apply Apply on Indeed or send resume/CV and cover letter to: lon.markspharmacy@gmail.com with subject "PIC Application — [Your Name]".
