B Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Location:
Tulsa Metro, OK (South of Tulsa, easy commute) Lead a scaling 503B sterile compounding operation with profit-sharing potential and the autonomy to build something significant. You'll run a 503B sterile compounding operation producing large batches of sterile preparations for hospitals, clinics, and healthcare facilities. This requires understanding FDA oversight, cGMP compliance, batch production, stability testing, and quality systems that go beyond
USP 797/800.
Note:
The 503A side already has a PIC. You'll focus exclusively on building and managing the 503B operation. Established Foundation, Ready to Scale The pharmacy infrastructure exists. The owner needs a driven leader to take the 503B operation to the next level: increase production capacity, expand client base, build operational systems, and grow revenue. This isn't a start-up scramble, it's strategic growth. Profit-Sharing + Competitive Salary $150K to $220K base salary (depending on 503B experience) PLUS bonus or profit-sharing structure. The owner wants you invested in the success of the business, not just collecting a paycheck. Autonomy to Lead You'll have decision-making authority over the 503B operation: staffing, equipment investments, process improvements, client development. Extensive training and ongoing support provided, but this is your operation to run. Weekdays Only, No Weekends Monday through Friday schedule. Small town setting south of Tulsa with easy commute from most Tulsa areas. Your Responsibilities 503B Sterile Compounding Operations (60%) Oversee large-scale sterile compounding production (batch preparation vs. patient-specific) Ensure FDA cGMP compliance for 503B outsourcing facilities Manage sterile compounding workflows: master formulation records, batch production records, beyond-use dating Conduct environmental monitoring, sterile technique validation, and media fill testing Oversee quality control and quality assurance programs (end-product testing, stability studies) Maintain ISO-classified clean rooms and aseptic processing areas Handle FDA inspections and regulatory compliance (adverse event reporting, product recalls if needed) Leadership & Operations (25%) Hire, train, and develop pharmacy staff (compounding pharmacists and sterile processing technicians) Build standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality systems for scaling production Manage inventory for active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and compounding supplies Implement automation and technology to increase production efficiency Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping per FDA requirements Business Development & Growth (15%) Build relationships with hospitals, clinics, surgery centers, and physician practices needing 503B compounded sterile preparations Identify market opportunities for new compounded products Work with owner on strategic planning and revenue growth targets Collaborate on pricing strategies and contract negotiations with healthcare facilities What You'll Work With 503

You know the difference between 503A and 503B, understand FDA's expectations for outsourcing facilities, and have experience with cGMP requirements or can learn quickly. Has sterile compounding expertise. You're confident with aseptic technique, understand contamination risks, can troubleshoot production issues, and know how to validate sterile processes. Thinks like an entrepreneur. You see opportunities for growth, take initiative without being told, and are comfortable with the uncertainty that comes with scaling a business. Leads with accountability. You take ownership of outcomes, hold yourself and your team to high standards, and don't make excuses when things don't go as planned. Communicates effectively. You can train technicians on sterile technique, explain cGMP requirements to staff, negotiate with hospital procurement teams, and present production metrics to ownership.
Compensation & Benefits Salary:
$150,000 to $220,000 annually Higher end for candidates with 503B outsourcing facility experience Mid-range for strong 503A or hospital sterile compounding background Annual performance reviews with merit increases
