Job Description

Company Overview Freeland Brown Pharmacy is an independent Pharmacy that has been in service since 1963 serving Green Country communities with comprehensive medication and health services to our community. We prioritize patient care, safety, and professional excellence in a collaborative environment. Overview We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented and energetic Staff Pharmacist to join our independent, locally owned pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive pharmacy expertise to ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of medications while providing exceptional counseling and clinical services to our community to maintain the well-being of the customer. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to patient health outcomes through clinical pharmacy practices and medication management within a dynamic retail setting. Duties Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy department while working with the PIC to maintain a positive working relationship. Perform all quality assurance steps to ensure a technically accurate prescription is dispensed. Counsel patients on proper medication usage, potential side effects, and over-the-counter (OTC) recommendations. Administer flu, COVID-19, and other routine immunizations safely and efficiently. Successfully manages the entire pharmacy staff with a friendly, positive, and team-oriented approach. Work as a team member with all the store management. Responsible for the maximization of customer service, prescription count, sales and profit within the pharmacy department and achieving the net contribution margin of the pharmacy department. Ensures prescription files and other manual records are maintained in accordance with all state and federal guidelines. Presence and preparation for all pharmacy inventories Presence and preparation for all pharmacy third party audits. Oversees the transmitting, processing, and receiving of orders to and from the wholesalers and additional suppliers as needed. Manages and balances the pharmacy inventory to provide for maximum turns while remaining in-stock for customer needs. Oversees the checking of pharmacy inventory for outdates and processing of all returns. Maintains and develops professional relationships with doctors and others in the health service professions. Ensures outstanding customer service is always exhibited by all employees. Implements and actively participates in company initiatives to increase pharmacy profitability. Responsible for meeting or exceeding budgetary sales guidelines and operating the pharmacy within said guidelines. Complies with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the State Board of Pharmacy, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Food and Drug Administration. Maintains confidentiality regarding all patient information in accordance with HIPPA standards. Maintains required licenses in good standing and in date with the State Board of Pharmacy, DEA, and FDA. Complies with all Freeland Brown Pharmacy policies, procedures, rules, and standards. Ensures in-store pharmacy technology is being used to its fullest potential to allow for a maximum return on investment of the technology and life span. Oversees the maintenance of the pharmacy department to ensure a clean and professional environment. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.

D.) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of Oklahoma. Certified Immunizer. 2+ years of retail or community pharmacy experience is highly preferred. Continuing Education as required by the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy Oklahoma Preceptor License (Required)
