Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A hospital in the Portland area is seeking a qualified Inpatient Pharmacist for a 13+ week contract assignment with an ASAP start. This role offers variable day and afternoon shifts and the opportunity to work within a collaborative inpatient pharmacy team utilizing Cerner and Pyxis systems. Candidates with recent hospital experience and an active Oregon Pharmacist License are encouraged to apply.
Work Hours:
Variable day and afternoon shifts, 5x8s Responsibilities Typical inpatient pharmacy duties include: Verify physician medication orders for accuracy, dosing, and interactions Prepare and dispense medications in accordance with hospital policies Compound sterile and non-sterile medications as needed Utilize Cerner for order entry and medication verification Operate automated dispensing systems such as Pyxis Monitor patient medication therapies and review for safety and effectiveness Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals Maintain accurate medication records and documentation Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and safety standards Participate in medication inventory management and controlled substance monitoring Experience Previous inpatient hospital pharmacy experience preferred Experience working with Cerner and Pyxis systems highly preferred Ability to work variable day and afternoon shifts Education Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited college or university Qualifications Active Oregon Pharmacist License required Strong knowledge of inpatient pharmacy workflows Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team Excellent attention to detail and communication skills Nicholas Denver, Pharmacy Account Executive To apply send your most up to date resume to: or Call me Direct at: 281-552-7278 Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled
