Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract To Hire A Specialty Compounding Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Clinical Pharmacist to support both sterile and non-sterile production departments. This role is critical for maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations, ensuring the quality and safety of personalized pharmaceutical compounds tailored to meet individual patient needs. Working under the direction of the Pharmacy Supervisor, you will play a vital role in verifying the accuracy of compounded preparations, implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs), and supporting prescription dispensing personnel. Expertise in sterile compounding, adherence to USP , , and guidelines, and aseptic technique are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compounded sterile and non-sterile preparations comply with master formula worksheets and regulatory standards. Implement and follow SOPs and policies to maintain patient safety and regulatory compliance. Maintain strict adherence to USP guidelines for sterile and non-sterile compounding. Monitor cleaning and garbing procedures according to company policies. Perform calculations and thorough documentation for all compounded preparations. Operate production equipment accurately while maintaining quality standards. Prepare work areas meticulously prior to production activities. Conduct quality control tests and inspections to verify medication purity, potency, and accuracy. Stay current with new compounding techniques, formulations, and technologies. Provide patient care and counseling on compounded and prescription medications.
Qualifications:
Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist license Recent pharmacy experience with a strong background in sterile compounding Ability to maintain excellent attendance—this is a critical factor for success in this position
Shift Options:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, 10:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. (may be assigned after training completion) This position offers a 13-week contract to hire opportunity.
