Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Staff Pharmacist, where your expertise will directly impact patient care and safety. In this vital role, you will oversee medication dispensing, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and collaborate closely with medical professionals to optimize treatment outcomes. Duties Dispense prescriptions accurately while verifying dosage, interactions, and appropriateness based on patient assessments. Provide expert consultation to healthcare providers regarding medication therapy management, including drug interactions and contraindications. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and physiology knowledge to tailor medication plans. Manage pharmacy inventory efficiently, including compounding medications and maintaining proper stock levels. Administer immunizations and perform medication administration following aseptic techniques and safety protocols. Assist in training staff on pharmacy operations, inventory management, and pharmacy technician responsibilities. Requirements Valid pharmacist license with current registration in the relevant jurisdiction. Completion of a pharmacy residency program or equivalent clinical pharmacy experience. Strong knowledge of medical management, immunizations, aseptic technique, and medication administration procedures. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to perform thorough patient assessments and contribute to multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information. Additional skills such as pediatrics expertise, pain management familiarity, physiology knowledge, and hospital experience are preferred.
