Job Description

Schedule Monday-Friday:
8:30 AM•5:00 PM (with rotating 12:30 PM•9:00 PM shifts)
Rotating Saturday:
8:30 AM•5:00
PM Rotating Sunday:
10:00 AM•2:00 PM We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Pharmacist to join our on-site team at Benecard in Mechanicsburg, PA. In this role, you will be responsible for dispensing medications, ensuring prescription accuracy, and providing guidance to both patients and healthcare providers. This position also plays a key role in supporting pharmacy operations, maintaining compliance, and delivering exceptional service within a mail-order pharmacy environment. Key Responsibilities Accurately process, verify, and dispense prescriptions issued by authorized medical practitioners Review prescriptions to evaluate appropriateness of therapy and ensure correct dosage and ingredients Check patient profiles for drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications Provide counseling to patients and healthcare providers regarding: Medication usage Potential side effects Drug interactions Proper storage instructions Oversee and/or perform medication packaging, labeling, compounding, and storage Assist in insurance claim processing and ensure accurate billing Maintain inventory levels and manage medication supplies Conduct clinical evaluations as needed per patient Provide leadership and guidance to pharmacy support staff Ensure timely and accurate responses to customer and provider inquiries Learn and effectively use internal systems, including the Benecard mail-order platform Collaborate with team members to meet workflow and production goals Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD (required) Current, active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license Willingness to obtain additional state licensure as needed Must be eligible to participate in federal healthcare programs (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid) Strong computer proficiency and ability to learn new systems Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Reliable, dependable, and patient-focused approach Ability to adapt to changing schedules with minimal notice Physical ability to alternate between standing and sitting for extended periods What We're Looking For Compassionate professionals committed to patient care Strong organizational and time management skills Team players who can provide leadership and support to pharmacy staff Individuals who thrive in a structured, process-driven environment •We are an equal opportunity employer•
