Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract Join a large acute care hospital team seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist for a 13+ week contract assignment. This position offers a dynamic clinical environment where pharmacists work closely with physicians, nurses, and pharmacy staff to support safe and effective patient care across a high-volume hospital setting.

500-bed acute care facility
Pharmacy Systems:
EPIC and Pyxis Key Responsibilities Review, verify, and process medication orders accurately Supervise and support pharmacy technicians during daily operations Consult with physicians and healthcare staff regarding medication therapies Perform pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring Ensure safe medication distribution and compliance with hospital protocols Provide clinical pharmacy support across inpatient departments Maintain accurate documentation and patient medication records Assist with medication therapy management and therapeutic recommendations Experience Required Approximately 2 years of recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience preferred Strong clinical knowledge in acute care pharmacy operations Experience with pharmacokinetics and clinical interventions Familiarity with EPIC and Pyxis systems preferred Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment Education & Licensure PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited program Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license required Additional Qualifications Excellent communication and collaboration skills Strong attention to detail and clinical judgment Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively Commitment to patient safety and quality care Comfortable working variable schedules including afternoons or reach out for further inquiry: (713) 987-3641 Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled
