Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A well-established 500-bed hospital in York, PA is seeking a skilled pharmacist to join their inpatient care team on a contract basis. This role offers a dynamic environment where you will play an essential part in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical services.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify medication orders with meticulous attention to detail Supervise and support pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow Collaborate with physicians to provide clinical consultations and optimize patient therapy Apply pharmacokinetic principles to tailor medication regimens based on patient-specific variables Utilize hospital IT systems including EPIC and Pyxis for medication management and documentation
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license Approximately 2 years of inpatient pharmacy experience, demonstrating strong clinical acumen Experience working within a hospital setting preferred Proficiency with EPIC and Pyxis systems is highly advantageous Strong communication and teamwork skills to engage with healthcare professionals and patients effectively
Schedule:
Variable days and afternoon shifts, offering flexibility within the 13+ week assignment Immediate start availability preferred
