Salary | Exempt About Us Brockie Select Rx is a leading long-term care pharmacy committed to delivering accurate, compliant, and compassionate pharmaceutical services to Long-Term Care, Personal Care, and Group Home facilities. We are seeking a dedicated Staff Pharmacist to join our York team and help us continue providing exceptional care to the patients and communities we serve. Position Overview The Staff Pharmacist plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient preparation, verification, and dispensing of medications. This position requires strong clinical judgement, regulatory understanding, and collaboration within a high-performing pharmacy team. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding the highest standards of pharmacy practice. Work Schedule Full-time salaried position Paid straight time for all hours worked over 80 in a two-week pay period Participation required in the on-call rotation and holiday rotation Must be able to work second shift (1:30 pm - 10:00 pm) on a rotational basis Key Responsibilities Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and regulatory compliance Provide clinical oversight to ensure optimal patient care, including DUR and therapeutic appropriateness Supervise and support pharmacy technicians in prescription preparation, packaging, and labeling Ensure compliance with Board of Pharmacy, DEA, CMS, and all applicable regulations Maintain accurate patient documentation, including clinical notes and interventions Oversee compounding, IV preparation, and dispensing processes as needed Participate in quality assurance, process improvement, and medication safety initiatives Collaborate with physicians, nurses, caregivers, and internal teams to resolve medication-related issues Provide drug information and clinical support as needed Serve in the on-call rotation for after-hours needs Participate in holiday and second-shift rotations Perform additional duties assigned by the Pharmacy Manager or Director of Pharmacy Qualifications Active and unrestricted Pennsylvania Pharmacist License (required) Minimum 1 year of experience in long-term care, retail, or hospital pharmacy preferred Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, medication therapy management, and regulatory requirements Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Leadership ability with experience supervising pharmacy technicians Proficiency with pharmacy software (QS1 or similar) preferred Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Join Our Team If you are a motivated pharmacist who is passionate about patient care and looking to grow within an established long-term care pharmacy, we encourage you to apply.
