Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract Take on a pivotal role overseeing pharmacy operations at a specialized behavioral health facility in Wyoming, MI. This contract position requires a licensed Michigan pharmacist ready to lead as both Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC). The assignment begins immediately, covering until a permanent hire is secured, estimated at eight or more weeks. Location Wyoming, MI (Byron Center area) Nearest airport: Gerald Ford International Airport (GRR) Preferred hotel nearby: Home2 Suites by Hilton Schedule Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM Saturday (remote), 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM Responsibilities Direct pharmacy operations and serve as PIC Verify medication orders and ensure accurate dispensing Maintain inventory levels and manage supply chain processes Utilize order entry system (HCS preferred) and site automation tools such as Omnicell Adapt to facility's evolving needs in behavioral health pharmacy services Manage without pharmacy technician support, necessitating strong multitasking and supervisory skills Qualifications and Desired Experience Current Michigan pharmacist license in good standing (required) Proven experience with HCS order entry systems and Omnicell automation preferred Background in behavioral health pharmacy settings highly favorable Strong leadership skills to manage and direct pharmacy staff and operations This contract offers the opportunity to impact patient care in a focused behavioral health environment while demonstrating leadership in a hybrid Director/PIC capacity.
