4/29/2026 SUMMARY To work collaboratively with key stakeholders assuring compliance with all rules and regulations governing drug management and benefits. All functions are performed under the supervision of the Residency Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides pharmaceutical care and medication therapy management for complex patients as part of primary care practice utilizing the electronic health record Responsible for providing medication therapy management and collaborative disease management services to help patients manage their disease states Provides pharmacy services both face to face and telephonic Additional responsibilities may also involve training of University of Rhode Island PharmD candidates Performs other various job-related duties as assigned
BASIC KNOWLEDGE
Advanced study in pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree program. Required to attain a RI Pharmacy License within 90 days of the start date of the residency Ability to work collaboratively Patient engagement, assessment and support skills are essential Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly organized Exercise sound judgment and decision-making Ability to assess and differentiate priorities Able to maintain confidentiality with all aspects of information including patient data in accordance with the company's philosophy and policy as well as state and federal regulations Must handle sensitive and confidential matters with the utmost discretion Proficiency with computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel and Web-based applications)
EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of pharmacy information systems, automated dispensing technology and personal computers including word processing, database and spreadsheet design.
INDEPENDENT ACTION
Performs independently within department policies and practices. Pay Range $53,060.80
