Job Summary:
Responsible for the interpretation, evaluation, preparation and dispensing, and procurement and storage of medications in keeping with established policies, procedures, standards of practice and scope of pharmacy services provided. Collaborates with multidisciplinary care providers to monitor, assess and intervene as needed to ensure safe, appropriate and cost-effective medication use. Supervises and directs activities and tasks of support personnel.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of accredited College of Pharmacy Current Pharmacy license Current AHA BLS Success Factors Licensed pharmacist in the State of Rhode Island within 90 days of hire and annually thereafter. Prior experience in health system pharmacy. Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Experience with pharmacy computer systems, automated dispensing technology and Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Pharmacists that provide staffing for inpatient and ambulatory area coverage, and are not solely focused on Medication Reconciliation duties, are required to have active BLS certification.
