Position Highlights Position Summary:
Interprets and processes physicians' orders, performs drugs information, continuous quality improvement activities, participates in discharge planning and performs non-distributive services, such as drug-level monitoring, that are established by policy. In the absence of a formal Team Leader, supervises pharmacy personnel to ensure an efficient workflow in a positive work environment. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
Work Schedule:
Flexible schedule to cover all shifts and weekend activities with on-call participation. Current shift responsibilities include evening shifts until 10:00pm with on call involvement, every 4th or 5th weekend, and 2 holidays per year.
Work Environment:
May be exposed to communicable diseases when working in a healthcare environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Education/Experience:
Minimum of Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy. Minimum of 1 year of hospital Pharmacy experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
