Job Description

An academic regional healthcare system is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join its inpatient pharmacy team on a highly desirable 7-on/7-off night schedule. This full-time position works Thursday through Wednesday from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, providing the unique benefit of having every other week off while still maintaining full-time status. The schedule includes built-in overtime during working weeks, night and weekend shift differentials, and no call responsibilities. Pharmacists practice in a collaborative hospital environment, providing direct patient care, overseeing the medication-use process, participating in clinical decision-making, and helping educate pharmacy students and residents. Additional highlights include comprehensive benefits, sign-on bonus or student loan assistance options, and relocation support for qualified candidates. Candidates must possess a PharmD and be able to obtain Tennessee pharmacist licensure prior to starting. Applicants should also have completed a PGY1 residency or have at least one year of recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience. Board Certification (BCPS) and residency training are preferred. This opportunity is ideal for pharmacists who enjoy clinical practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the autonomy of working in a hospital setting while benefiting from an alternative work schedule. Located in a scenic Middle Tennessee community, this area offers an outstanding balance of career opportunity and quality of life. Residents enjoy a low cost of living, no state income tax, excellent schools, beautiful lakes, outdoor recreation, golf, and easy access to several major Tennessee cities. The region is known for its welcoming atmosphere, strong educational resources, and family-friendly lifestyle, making it an excellent place to build both a career and a home.
