Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract To Hire A growing specialty pharmacy in Tennessee is seeking a motivated and driven Pharmacist for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This is an excellent position for a newer graduate or pharmacist looking to expand their clinical knowledge in specialty pharmacy while working closely with an experienced team. The client is looking for someone with a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and long-term interest in growing within the organization, with future ownership potential available for the right candidate. This role offers hands-on experience in specialty medications, patient management, reimbursement navigation, and collaborative care in a low-volume, patient-focused environment. Training is available on the CareTend software system for candidates eager to learn. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care for patients requiring specialty and infused medications. Manage therapies related to hemophilia, immune deficiencies, autoimmune disorders, and chronic conditions. Educate patients and caregivers on medication administration, adherence, side effect management, and safe home handling practices. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care coordinators to ensure continuity of care. Assist with prior authorizations, insurance approvals, and financial assistance coordination. Monitor patient therapy outcomes and maintain accurate clinical documentation. Support overall pharmacy operations and contribute to long-term company growth initiatives. Qualifications Active Tennessee Pharmacist License required. Open to obtaining additional state pharmacist licenses. CareTend experience is highly preferred, but training is available. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Desire to learn and grow within specialty pharmacy. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Experience Specialty pharmacy or infusion pharmacy experience preferred but not required. New graduates with strong motivation and professionalism are encouraged to apply.
