Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A well-established independent pharmacy in Nashville is seeking a dedicated pharmacist to support their mission of delivering personalized, fast, and friendly service with expert guidance. This role focuses on patient-centered care, emphasizing customized healthcare solutions including compounding, medication management, and delivery services. The pharmacy strives to build long-term, family-like relationships with its patients beyond simply dispensing medications.
Location:
Nashville, TN Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 10 AM - 6 PM (32-40 hours/week) Potential every-other-Saturday shift, 9 AM - 3 PM (coverage may be possible)
Job Type:
13-week contract with the possibility to convert to a permanent position
Primary Responsibilities:
Accurately dispense medications according to all legal and regulatory standards Provide expert counseling on medication therapies, side effects, interactions, and proper usage to patients and caregivers Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication plans for safe, effective patient care Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, carefully reviewing prescriptions for dosage appropriateness and drug interaction warnings Demonstrate leadership by supporting team members and fostering a positive workplace environment Stay informed about industry advancements and continuously adapt to new protocols, systems, or technologies
Qualifications and Experience:
Possession of an active Tennessee Pharmacist License Experience with PioneerRX pharmacy software is preferred Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Commitment to outstanding customer service and patient care This position offers an immediate start date and interviews are being scheduled promptly, including a phone screening followed by an onsite interview. The contract duration is 13 weeks with potential to transition to a full-time role.
