Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type Contract This part-time Pharmacist in Charge position offers an opportunity to manage prescription verification and patient communication within a high-volume retail pharmacy setting. Based in Arlington, TX, this contract role spans approximately 13 weeks, focusing on first-shift hours with flexibility to accommodate day or mid-shift schedules.

Hours:
Part-time, approximately 20-24 hours per week Primarily first shift; flexible scheduling options available
Responsibilities:
Verify prescriptions accurately and efficiently, supporting a daily script volume of 1,000 to 1,500 Handle inbound calls from patients and physician offices regarding medication inquiries and clarifications Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and company policies within a retail and mail-order pharmacy environment Utilize DRx pharmacy software for prescription processing and record-keeping
Qualifications:
Valid Pharmacist license (California license required) Experience managing high-volume prescription processing Strong communication skills for effective patient and physician interactions Proficient with pharmacy software systems, preferably DRx Ability to work independently and maintain attention to detail under fast-paced conditions This contract role is ideal for a pharmacist seeking a focused position with manageable hours and duties centered on verification and direct communication.
