Job Description

Job Title:
Inpatient Pharmacist Location:

26 Weeks (Contract)
Compensation Travelers:
$65•70/hour ($2,600•2,800/week, based on experience)
Local Candidates:
$50•55/hour ($2,000•2,200/week, based on experience)
Shift Details Night Shift:
10-hour shifts (8:00 PM•6:30 AM)
Schedule:
7 days on / 7 days off
Weekend Requirement:
Every other weekend
Block Scheduling:
Required On-Call:
Not required Overtime (48 hours): Not approved
Note:
This role will initially be a night shift position. Around July/August, the schedule will transition to a day shift to provide coverage for a temporary leave through January 2027. Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated Inpatient Pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care in a hospital setting. This role involves ensuring safe and effective medication use, collaborating with healthcare teams, and supporting patient care through accurate dispensing and clinical oversight. Key Responsibilities Review and verify medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and safety Prepare and dispense medications in accordance with hospital protocols Monitor patient medication therapy and provide clinical recommendations Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff to optimize patient outcomes Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies Maintain accurate documentation of medication orders and interventions Provide drug information and education to healthcare staff as needed Participate in quality assurance and medication safety initiatives Requirements Active Pharmacist license in the state of Texas (or eligibility) Previous inpatient/hospital pharmacy experience preferred Strong knowledge of clinical pharmacology and medication safety practices Ability to work independently during night shifts Excellent communication and collaboration skills Flexibility to transition between night and day shifts as required
