Temporary Relief Pharmacist (8-Days assignment) June 8-12 + June 15-17 Carrollton Regional Pharmacy (outpatient) Carrollton, TX Job Details Temporary | Temp-to-hire $56 - $58 an hour Qualifications Teamwork HIPAA Outpatient Attention to detail Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a Temporary Relief Pharmacist to join our team for an 8-day assignment from June 8-12 and June 15-17 with possible role in a future position in the company. This dynamic role offers an opportunity into experience in independent pharmacy and specialty medications . As a Relief Pharmacist, you will ensure seamless medication management, patient care, and pharmacy operations during the temporary coverage period. Your expertise will help maintain high standards of safety, accuracy, and patient service, supporting our commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare experiences.
Responsibilities NOTICE:
we are not located in the hospital - we are an
INDEPENDENT OUTPATIENT
PHARMACY and our workflow is similar to RETAIL pharmacy.
INSIGHTS
no drive thru, we are located inside a medical plaza building with low traffic.
TRAINING
you will be provided training by the PIC pharmacist.
SUPPORTIVE STAFF
the pharmacy staff is well equipped and able to aid you along the way for any situation that arise. Dispense medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions, ensuring proper labeling and documentation and most importantly to provide accurate packaging of medications. Collaborate with pharmacy staff to optimize medication therapy and provide clinical pharmacy support. Conduct patient assessments to determine medication appropriateness, including evaluating medical histories and current therapies. Manage inventory levels efficiently, including ordering, stock rotation, and compounding medications when necessary. Utilize pharmacy software and electronic health record (EHR) systems to process prescriptions and document patient interactions. Support medical management initiatives by providing medication counseling and patient education. Skills Retail related pharmacy workflows. Good clinical pharmacy background. Proficiency in pharmacy software systems (DIGITAL RX - which you will receive training), EMR (Electronic Medical Records), and EHR platforms. Experience with HIPAA compliance, medical management strategies, and patient care. Excellent communication skills for patient service delivery and interdisciplinary collaboration.
