Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract A Clinical Pharmacist opportunity is available at a specialized women's healthcare facility offering an overnight shift schedule. This contract role spans approximately 14 weeks, beginning mid-May, with a consistent schedule of 7 nights on followed by 7 nights off, working 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM. The role involves patient care across all ages, utilizing the EPIC electronic medical record system.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the full medication process to support pharmaceutical care by identifying, preventing, and resolving drug-related issues. Ensure medication doses are appropriate relative to patient diagnosis, weight/body surface area, allergies, and potential drug interactions. Accurately enter medication orders into the computer system to maintain high safety standards. Validate the accuracy of dispensed medications, preventing errors and maintaining a trustworthy medication record. Timely processing and delivery of medication orders within established protocols. Maintain strict aseptic technique and infection control standards during the preparation of sterile products; collaborate with pharmacy staff to uphold these practices. Successfully complete and score highly on annual aseptic technique and infection control certification exams.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years inpatient pharmacy experience, pediatric experience preferred. Licensed Pharmacist in Texas. ACPE IV Certification required. Experience with EPIC electronic medical records highly desirable. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to patient safety and regulatory compliance.

Overnight hours at a healthcare site specializing in women's and pediatric care.
