Job Description

Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) -
Sterile Compounding Startup Location:
Texas (Sterile Compounding Facility)
Employment Type:
Part-Time to Full-Time Transition Opportunity We are a new, sterile compounding facility in the process of securing licensing and approvals across multiple U.S. states. We are seeking a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to join our leadership team during this critical growth phase. Initially, this role will focus on serving as PIC on record and working closely with our senior pharmacist advisor. You will receive hands-on instruction in sterile compounding techniques and guidance in preparing for and completing multiple state licensing exams. Once our Texas license is finalized, our compounding operations will transition from an external partner to our own facility—at which time we can offer stable, ongoing employment with significant growth potential . This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed pharmacist seeking to expand into sterile compounding without the demands of direct patient interaction or insurance processing. The role can be scheduled flexibly—ideal for someone who already holds another position and can work during off-hours, evenings, or weekends. Key Responsibilities Serve as Pharmacist in Charge, ensuring full compliance with state and federal regulations. Collaborate with our senior pharmacist to learn and implement sterile compounding procedures. Participate in and complete required licensing processes for multiple states. Oversee quality assurance and adherence to USP <797>/<800> standards. Maintain accurate records and documentation to meet all regulatory requirements. Support the transition of compounding operations to our facility upon Texas licensure. Qualifications Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in good standing (Texas preferred, multistate licensing a plus). Willingness to serve as PIC and participate in additional state licensing processes. Interest in non-customer-facing sterile compounding work. Strong attention to detail and regulatory compliance. Flexibility to work part-time initially, with the option for full-time employment post-licensure. Compensation Competitive pay for PIC title and responsibilities. Additional compensation as responsibilities expand. Long-term growth opportunities as we scale operations nationwide. If you're a detail-oriented pharmacist who values precision, regulatory excellence, and career growth in a modern sterile compounding environment, we'd like to hear from you.
