Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Pharmacist or Part-Time Pharmacist with compounding experience to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive clinical pharmacy experience, including compounding, and demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care and safety. This role involves providing expert medication management, patient assessments, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize therapeutic outcomes. The pharmacist will be responsible for ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining high standards of pharmacy practice within a dynamic medical environment. Duties Dispense prescription medications accurately using Liberty pharmacy software Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapy Prepare and compound medications, including non-sterile preparations Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals Administer immunizations and provide patient education on medication use, side effects, and health management Assist in training pharmacy technicians and supporting staff in medication preparation and inventory management Stay current with advancements in physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology relevant to patient care Experience Prior experience in compounding is highly desirable Completion of a pharmacy residency program is advantageous Demonstrated proficiency with pharmacy software, EMR/EHR systems, and inventory management tools Experience in compounding medications, including sterile preparations and IV insertions Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, immunizations, medication administration techniques, and medical terminology Familiarity with HIPAA compliance standards and patient privacy regulations Previous pharmacy technician experience is beneficial but not required; relevant clinical pharmacy experience is essential for success in this role This position offers an opportunity to work within a collaborative healthcare environment dedicated to delivering exceptional patient service through expert pharmaceutical care.
