Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A pediatric hospital is seeking a skilled pharmacist for a contract assignment in Lubbock, TX. This role involves working night shifts initially, with the schedule transitioning to days mid-year to support coverage during a family medical leave period.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage medication orders and dispensing using EPIC and Pyxis systems. Provide pharmaceutical care tailored to pediatric inpatient needs. Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards during night shifts. Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Texas pharmacist license. Proficiency in EPIC electronic health records. Experience working with Pyxis automated dispensing systems. Inpatient pharmacy experience, preferably with pediatric patients. Ability to handle the responsibilities of a night shift schedule.
Schedule:
Night shift: 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM.
Rotation:
7 consecutive days on, 7 days off. Transition to day shift in July/August to cover pharmacist FMLA until January 2027.
