Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Pharmacist specializing in outpatient care to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive pharmaceutical services to patients in an outpatient setting, ensuring safe medication use, patient education, and optimal therapeutic outcomes. This role requires a strong foundation in clinical pharmacy practice, patient assessment, and medication management within a hospital environment.

Pay Rate:
$2600 Travel pay Duties Dispense prescriptions accurately while ensuring compliance with all legal and safety standards Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapy and address potential interactions Provide medication counseling and education to patients regarding proper use, side effects, and storage Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and modify individualized treatment plans Manage IV infusions and aseptic techniques for sterile medication preparation Monitor patient responses to medications, including pain management and acute care interventions Maintain detailed documentation of medication histories, interventions, and patient progress Oversee medication administration processes within the outpatient setting, ensuring adherence to protocols Skills Extensive experience with hospital medicine, including Level II trauma center experience and ICU settings Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and pharmacology principles Proven expertise in critical care environments such as emergency rooms or PICU units Skilled in medication management for acute pain, post-residency clinical pharmacy practice, and emergency scenarios Proficiency in IV infusion techniques and aseptic procedures Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments with attention to detail Familiarity with managed care systems and hospital experience requirements Excellent communication skills for effective patient service and interdisciplinary collaboration Demonstrated ability to handle complex medication administration processes safely and efficiently This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to patient outcomes through expert pharmaceutical care.
