Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a skilled Pharmacist to support a 120-bed community hospital in Kerrville, TX. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic hospital setting, delivering pharmaceutical care to inpatient and outpatient populations.
Schedule and Location:
Monday to Friday day shifts starting at 7 AM, 8 AM, or 9 AM Coverage required every 4th weekend Potential future shift adjustment to second shift (11:45 AM-10:15 PM, 10-hour shifts) Based in Kerrville, TX Start date: As soon as possible
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and dispense medications accurately and safely in compliance with hospital protocols Collaborate with healthcare providers to review and optimize patient medication therapies Utilize Meditech, MedKeeper for IV management, and Omnicell systems for medication dispensing and tracking Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and maintain accurate documentation Provide drug information and education to hospital staff and patients as needed
Qualifications:
Current Texas Pharmacist license required Prior hospital pharmacy experience strongly preferred Familiarity with Meditech, MedKeeper, and Omnicell technology is a plus Ability to adapt to schedule changes and provide weekend coverage Strong communication and teamwork skills This is an excellent opportunity to apply your hospital pharmacy expertise in a supportive environment with a manageable patient census.
