Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A 13-week+ contract opportunity is available for a Pharmacist at a 120-bed community hospital in Kerrville, TX. This role offers Monday to Friday day shifts with varying start times and weekend coverage every fourth week. Flexibility for potential second-shift scheduling later on is highly valued.

Location:

Kerrville, TX (hospital setting)

Schedule:

Monday to Friday day shifts starting at 7:00 am, 8:00 am, or 9:00 am Coverage every 4th weekend Possibility to transition to 2nd shift: 11:45 am - 10:15 pm, 10-hour shifts

Responsibilities:

Dispense medications accurately and efficiently in accordance with hospital protocols Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care Utilize Meditech pharmacy information system for medication management Use MedKeeper for IV compounding and Omnicell for automated medication dispensing Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations Support inventory and medication safety initiatives

Qualifications:

Active Texas Pharmacist license required Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred Familiarity with Meditech, MedKeeper, and Omnicell systems is a plus Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety Flexibility to adjust to potential shift changes This position requires an immediate start and offers a rewarding environment in a community-focused hospital setting.
