Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Compounding Pharmacist to join our dynamic pharmacy team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing customized medications through compounding processes, ensuring precise formulation and adherence to all applicable safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Your expertise will directly impact patient care by providing tailored medication solutions for a diverse patient population. Responsibilities Prepare compounded medications accurately by following prescribed formulas, ensuring strict adherence to aseptic techniques and safety protocols. Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop personalized medication plans. Conduct appropriate patient assessments to support compounding decisions, considering relevant clinical factors. Manage inventory levels of pharmaceuticals and compounding supplies, ensuring proper storage, expiration tracking, and compliance with regulatory standards. Maintain a sterile and controlled environment by practicing proper aseptic techniques during preparation of compounded medications. Support clinical and pharmacy operations by providing expert input on medication therapy, patient care considerations, and treatment protocols. Assist pharmacy technicians with medication preparation tasks while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and safety standards. Participate in ongoing training related to clinical pharmacy practice, regulatory updates, and workflow development. Requirements Valid pharmacist license with current registration in the relevant jurisdiction. Proven experience in pharmacy settings with a strong focus on compounding and clinical services. Strong background in compounding medications and adherence to established standards of practice. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and pharmacology across diverse patient populations. Familiarity with aseptic technique procedures, inventory management practices, and medication handling protocols. Prior pharmacy residency or clinical pharmacy experience is highly desirable. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to perform patient assessments confidently. Additional qualifications such as immunization certification, clinical experience in acute or specialty care settings, and pain management expertise are preferred.
