Pharmacy Resident 1Yr Inova Health System parental leave, paid time off United States, Virginia, Alexandria Apr 16, 2026 Inova Mount Vernona Hospital is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Resident Yr1 to join the team. Job Responsibilities:
Functions effectively as a member of the healthcare team and establishes a collaborative working relationship with physicians and other healthcare providers. Weighs, measures, and prepares medication products by utilizing the appropriate tools and equipment. Interprets medication orders and accurately transcribes to computerized patient medication profiles. Accurately compounds and dispenses pharmaceuticals including sterile, chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition products. Issues controlled substances to patient care areas and maintains records as required by law. Takes ownership for daily department operations in the absence of a manager/supervisor when needed. Displays initiative in preventing, identifying, and resolving Pharmacy related patient care problems. Designs, recommends, monitors, and evaluates patient specific therapeutic regimens that incorporate the principles of evidence-based medicine.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).
Licensure:
eligible for Licensure in Virginia.
Certification:
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association for Critical Care within 90 days of hire.
