Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) Pharmacist position is available for an immediate start in Amherst, VA. This contract role offers a Monday through Friday day-shift schedule, making it ideal for pharmacists seeking a structured workweek in a smaller hospital setting. The assignment is expected to last 13 weeks or longer, providing a stable short-term opportunity to apply your pharmaceutical expertise in an LTAC environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify and dispense medications accurately and efficiently for LTAC patients Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal drug therapy management Monitor patient medication regimens for safety and efficacy Provide counseling and drug information to clinical staff as needed Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Licensed Pharmacist with experience in hospital or long-term acute care settings Knowledgeable in medication therapy management specific to LTAC patient needs Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary care team
