Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital in Appomattox, VA, is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to support its pharmacy operations. This position involves providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care to a specialized patient population requiring extended medical attention.
Responsibilities:
Dispense and verify medications accurately in compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize pharmacotherapy plans for complex cases. Monitor patient outcomes and provide drug information and education. Maintain proper documentation and adherence to hospital policies. Ensure the safe storage and handling of pharmaceuticals within the LTAC facility.
Qualifications:
Valid Pharmacist license to practice. Experience in hospital pharmacy settings, preferably in LTAC or acute care environments. Strong knowledge of medication management and pharmacy law. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, daytime shifts. Immediate start available. Contract duration of 13 weeks or more.
