Job Description

Pediatric Clinical Pharmacist - Acute Care The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia $64.37 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education. vision insurance, parental leave, paid time off United States, Virginia, Charlottesville 1215 Lee Street (Show on map) May 11, 2026 Ensures the safe and effective use of medications by providing medication order verification while assessing for optimal drug product selection dosage regimen design effective administration and drug therapy monitoring services in the UVA Medical Center. Monitors inpatient and outpatient drug therapies when appropriate and works with relating medical staff to find alternatives when needed to ensure the best care possible is being given. What You'll Do:
Deliver expert pharmacy support across126pediatric beds, primarily onday shift. Train and rotate through: Inpatient Hematology/Oncology/GI General Pediatrics(Endocrine, Renal, Cardiac,Solid Organ Transplants including livers, kidneys, and hearts) Ambulatory Infusion Center
Optional:
Ambulatory Hematology/Oncologyand Rheumatology Staff every 4thweekend, providing dedicated pediatric clinical coverage rotating through day or evening shift. Beyond the

Participate in order optimization within the electronic medical record and patient safety initiatives Partner with medical staff to ensure seamless transitions of care Why Join UVA Health? Education:
Bachelor's in Pharmacy or Pharm. D Degree required.
Experience:
PGY-1 residency required or equivalent hospital experience. (3.years). PGY-2 residency is preferred for specialty areas.
Licensure/Certifications:
Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Pharmacy. License required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider. BLS certification required Physical Demands - Job requires standing and traveling for prolonged periods. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull < 20lbs. May be exposed to chemicals Onboarding Requirements Background checks and pre-employment health screenings will be conducted on all new hires prior to employment. All safety-sensitive positions with direct patient interaction also require a drug screen. The starting base rate for this role is $64.37 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
