- Pharmacist Job Type Contract We're looking for a clinically capable inpatient pharmacist who can step in quickly and make an immediate impact in a fast-paced hospital setting.
If you have strong IV experience, are comfortable working rotating shifts (including overnights), and are confident using EPIC, this is a great short-term assignment with a respected medical center. Responsibilities Verify and process medication orders with accuracy and efficiency Perform order entry and ensure safe medication dispensing practices Prepare and oversee IV admixtures Monitor drug interactions, antibiotic therapies, and pain management regimens (including PCA) Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff on medication therapies Support safe medication use and adherence to hospital protocols Provide clinical guidance on dosing and therapeutic appropriateness Work Hours 13-week contract assignment

Day Shifts:
6:30 AM
- 3:00 PM, 7:30 AM
- 4:00 PM, 9:00 AM
- 5:30 PM, 10:00 AM
- 6:30
PM Evening Shifts:
1:00 PM
PM Overnight Shifts:
7:30 PM
- 7:30 AM, 8:30 PM
- 7:30 AM Experience Requirements Minimum 1 year of inpatient pharmacy experience (required) Strong experience with: IV compounding Pain control analgesia (PCA) Antibiotic therapies Drug interaction monitoring Medication order verification and entry
EPIC EMR
experience required (firm) Travel experience preferred Experience with the following is a plus: Chemotherapy Anticoagulation therapy Pharmacokinetics dosing Renal dosing adjustments Education PharmD or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited institution Other Qualifications Active Virginia Pharmacist License
