Position Summary Community Pharmacy is seeking a licensed and motivated Part-Time Pharmacist to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about patient care, committed to medication safety, and enjoys working in a community-focused independent pharmacy environment. This role involves dispensing medications, counseling patients, collaborating with healthcare providers, and supporting the daily operations of the pharmacy. Key Responsibilities Accurately review, verify, and dispense prescription medications in compliance with federal and state regulations. Provide patient counseling regarding medication use, side effects, interactions, and adherence. Conduct medication therapy management (MTM) and other clinical services as appropriate. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. Administer immunizations in accordance with Virginia pharmacy regulations and company policies. Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and pharmacy support staff. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Resolve prescription insurance issues and assist patients with medication access concerns. Ensure compliance with all Virginia Board of Pharmacy, DEA, and applicable regulatory requirements. Participate in inventory management, medication ordering, and quality assurance activities. Contribute to a welcoming, professional, and patient-focused pharmacy environment. QualificationsRequired Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited college of pharmacy. Active and unrestricted Virginia Pharmacist License. Current immunization certification or willingness to obtain certification. Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Previous experience in retail, community, or independent pharmacy settings. Experience with pharmacy management software and third-party billing. Bilingual skills are a plus. Schedule Part-time position. Flexible scheduling, including weekday and occasional Saturday shifts as needed. Approximately 16-24 hours per week (negotiable based on availability).
