Typical work hours: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm or 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Pharmacy operational hours: 7:30 am to 4:30 pm No on-call or weekend coverage required

Responsibilities:

Manage and dispense chemotherapy and other infusion medications in an outpatient oncology setting Collaborate closely with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and clinical staff to ensure safe and effective medication use Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for accurate order verification, preparation, and documentation Maintain compliance with hospital policies and state regulations Provide expert counseling to patients regarding their medication therapy

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

Valid pharmacist license in Virginia Previous experience in infusion pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, or oncology/chemotherapy preferred Proficient in electronic medical record (EPIC) and automated dispensing systems such as Pyxis Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety in chemotherapy preparation and administration This role provides the opportunity to work in a cancer center with 44 infusion chairs and a supportive outpatient pharmacy team.
