Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract Join a patient-focused Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital seeking a Clinical Pharmacist for a 13+ week contract assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist who enjoys a collaborative healthcare environment and wants to make a direct impact on patient care in a smaller hospital setting with a manageable daily census.

Friday Day Shift Position Long-Term Acute Care Hospital Average Daily Census:
Approximately 10 patients Key Responsibilities Review, verify, and process medication orders accurately Monitor patient medication therapies for safety and effectiveness Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals Provide drug information and clinical recommendations Ensure compliance with hospital policies and pharmacy regulations Maintain accurate medication records and documentation Support medication safety and quality improvement initiatives Assist with daily pharmacy operations and patient care activities Experience Required Hospital pharmacy experience preferred Experience reviewing and verifying medication orders Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail Ability to work independently in a small hospital environment Excellent communication and collaboration skills Education & Licensure PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited program Active Virginia Pharmacist license required Additional Qualifications Strong organizational and time management skills Commitment to patient-centered care Ability to build positive relationships with healthcare providers and staff Comfortable working in a smaller LTAC setting with a close-knit team or reach out for further inquiry: (713) 987-3641 Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled
