Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A rewarding opportunity is available for a Pharmacist seeking to apply their expertise in a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) setting. This role involves supporting patient care by managing medication therapies in a small hospital environment, providing daily pharmacy services that directly impact patient outcomes.
Location:
Lynchburg, VA Schedule:
Monday through Friday Day shift hours
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately dispense medications and verify prescription orders. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and adjust medication therapy plans especially tailored to LTAC patient needs. Monitor patient responses to prescribed medications and manage any adverse effects. Maintain comprehensive records of medications and patient information. Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and pharmacy laws.
Qualifications:
Licensed Pharmacist with active credentials. Experience in a hospital or LTAC pharmacy preferred. Strong understanding of pharmacotherapy and medication management in long-term care settings. Effective communication skills for working with healthcare professionals and patients. Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient safety.
