Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract A clinical pharmacist is needed for a 13-week contract starting Tuesday, May 26, at a well-regarded medical center in Norfolk, VA. This role offers the opportunity to work in an inpatient hospital setting, providing essential pharmaceutical care across rotating shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify and enter medication orders accurately Manage IV medications, pain-controlled analgesics, and antibiotics Monitor and evaluate drug interactions and dosing for renal function Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy Utilize EPIC for electronic medical records and charting
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum of one year of inpatient pharmacy experience required Proficient in
EPIC EMR
system (firm requirement) Experience with IV therapy, pain control, antibiotics, and order entry Preferred experience includes chemotherapy, anticoagulants, pharmacokinetic dosing, and renal dosing Previous travel pharmacy experience is advantageous
