Job Description
To apply for this position you must apply online at jobs.virginia.gov or come into the Front Desk and complete a paper application. This position accurately interprets, evaluates and dispenses pharmaceuticals to the nursing units including checking for appropriateness of therapy. Controls pharmacy inventory. Assures all records and reports required by Federal and State law and facility policies are kept current and accurate. Provides information to facility physicians and other facility staff on all aspects of pharmacy and pharmaceutical care. Assures that facility policies are adhered to by the pharmacy department. All other duties assigned by the Pharmacy Manager. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor. High School Diploma or equivalent. B.S. Pharmacy with current Virginia license.
