• Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract A 13-week contract opportunity is available for an experienced inpatient clinical pharmacist in Virginia Beach, VA.

The position offers flexibility in shift selection, allowing you to choose between evening and overnight schedules to fit your lifestyle.

Schedule Options:

Evening Shift:

3:00 PM

• 11:30

PM Overnight Shift:

Monday

• Thursday:

  8:30 PM
• 7:30 AM Friday

• Sunday:

  7:30 PM
• 7:30 AM (7 nights on, 7 nights off)

Key Responsibilities:

Verify medication orders and manage order entry accurately Oversee administration of intravenous (IV) therapies, including pain-controlled analgesia and antibiotics Monitor drug interactions and ensure patient safety Support pharmacy operations with anticoagulants, chemotherapy medications, and pharmacokinetic/renal dosing adjustments (preferred) Utilize EPIC for electronic medical record (EMR) charting and documentation

Qualifications:

Virginia pharmacist license must be active and in-hand at time of application (non-negotiable) Minimum one year of inpatient pharmacy experience required Strong background in IV medications, pain management, antibiotics, and drug interactions Experience with chemotherapy, anticoagulation therapy, pharmacokinetics, and renal dosing preferred Familiarity with

EPIC EMR
