Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract A clinical pharmacist role is available in Seattle, WA, offering an opportunity to support inpatient pharmacy distribution functions. This contract position starts immediately and lasts approximately 16 weeks, with potential for temp-to-hire conversion.
Responsibilities include:
  • Verifying medication orders using Epic
  • Conducting final product verification checks to ensure safety and accuracy
  • Responding to clinical questions and providing drug information support
  • Supervising pharmacy technician activities
  • Participating in Code Blue and emergency response teams
  • Utilizing hospital systems such as Epic and Pyxis for medication management Preferred candidates will have some experience in chemotherapy or oncology pharmacy practice, enhancing their ability to provide specialized clinical support.
Schedule:
Variable days/afternoons 8-hour shifts Qualifications and desired experience:
  • Licensed pharmacist with current credentials to practice in the state
  • Experience with inpatient pharmacy operations, particularly order verification and final product checks
  • Familiarity with Epic electronic medical records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems
  • Strong clinical knowledge and the ability to provide drug information accurately
  • Previous oncology/chemo experience highly favored
  • Effective communication and supervisory skills for managing technician functions
  • Ability to respond calmly and efficiently during emergency Code Blue situations This role offers an engaging clinical environment with opportunities to apply advanced pharmacy knowledge in a hospital setting.
