Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type Direct Hire An opportunity is available for a Pharmacist-In-Charge (PIC) with specialized expertise in
HIV/AIDS
medications at an innovative pharmacy serving vulnerable patient populations. This direct hire position is based in Tacoma, WA, with hours of operation Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and a start date of ASAP. As the PIC, you will oversee pharmacy operations in compliance with Board of Pharmacy requirements while working as a clinical pharmacist committed to continuous improvement. You will be part of a collaborative team focused on developing and implementing cutting-edge services that positively impact patient lives. Your leadership will embody the organization's core values and mission, ensuring a high standard of care and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee all pharmacy operations as Pharmacist-In-Charge Collaborate with colleagues to provide innovative clinical services and exchange knowledge Support and lead initiatives that improve patient experiences and workplace culture Maintain consistent application of best practices, policies, and procedures across all locations Attend relevant meetings, conferences, and training sessions as assigned Navigate a dynamic work environment while promoting teamwork and accountability
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years of retail or specialty pharmacy management experience (10+ years preferred) Strong foundation in
HIV/AIDS
medications; willingness to further develop expertise through training Proven leadership and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse cultures and lifestyles Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, busy environment Experience outside of hospital pharmacy settings only
