MMHI is conveniently located on the north side of Madison and offers a beautiful campus environment, convenient free parking and an onsite workout facility. MMHI is an inpatient psychiatric facility, with one outpatient program, specializing in serving patients with complex psychiatric conditions, often combined with certain problem behaviors. A secure setting to meet the legal and behavioral needs of our patients is provided. MMHI is an integral part of the entire Wisconsin mental health service delivery system. Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program employer. Position Summary As the MJTC Pharmacist, you will provide comprehensive pharmaceutical services to MMHI and MJTC. This includes maintaining an efficient drug distribution system, facilitating a major, ongoing in-service education and reference program and monitoring of drug administration procedures on each program unit. You will also be responsible for the removal of all drugs deemed unsafe by the FDA and/or the drug manufacturer and compliance with all federal and state laws governing drug usage, and compliance with The Joint Commission Standards. Salary Information The starting pay for this position is $62.92 (approximately $130,800 per year), depending on qualifications, plus excellent benefits. A 12-month probationary period is required. Pay for current or former state employees will be set based on the rules that apply to compensation for the applicable transaction. This position is in pay schedule/range 15/02. Job Details All applicants will be required to allow DHS to conduct a Caregiver background check to determine whether the circumstances of any convictions may be related to the job being filled. All appointees will be required to receive a TB test, which will be administered by the facility or medical personnel directed by the facility within 30 days of the start date. This position requires fine motor dexterity to complete tasks such as keyboarding, repackaging medications, and opening containers. Stand and walk on tile or concrete floors for long periods of time. Varied levels of reaching and grasping. Ability to read drug labels and medication records. DHS does not sponsor work visas for this position, thus, in compliance with federal law, selected candidates will be required to verify eligibility to work in the United States by completing the required I-9 form upon hire. Qualifications Minimally qualified applicants will have the following: Licensure or eligible•for licensure as a Pharmacist by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS). You must be licensed by time of appointment. •Eligible is defined as your license application is currently in progress with the Wisconsin DSPS or you currently hold a license in another state and are eligible to obtain a license in the State of Wisconsin.
