Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract A healthcare facility in Wisconsin is seeking three experienced inpatient clinical pharmacists for a 13-week contract beginning May 11. This role requires a strong background in acute care pharmacy with critical skills in pharmacokinetic and renal dosing, therapeutic medication monitoring, and managing drug shortages. Candidates must hold a valid Wisconsin pharmacy license; ACT-10 licenses are accepted.
Location:
Madison, WI (travelers only; candidates within 70 miles will not be considered)
Schedule/Hours:
5x 8-hour shifts per week Rotating every 3rd weekend Mix of day shifts (6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.) and evening shifts (2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.)
Key Responsibilities:
Provide inpatient pharmacy services, ensuring safe and effective medication use Perform pharmacotherapy management tailored to acute medical conditions Conduct therapeutic drug monitoring and adjust dosing accordingly Manage drug shortages and implement alternative therapies as needed Utilize EPIC electronic medical records for medication order verification and documentation Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient pharmacy experience Strong skills in pharmacokinetic and renal dosing Proficient in therapeutic medication monitoring and acute care pharmacotherapy Experience with
EPIC EMR
system preferred Must comply with facility's Fit Testing policy — travelers must be clean-shaven to pass mask seal testing; use of personal PAPRs or CAPRs is not permitted
