LOCATION OF POSITION MDH
Office of Pharmacy Services\r\nPolicy and Analytics Unit\r\n300 W. Preston Street\r\nBaltimore MD 21201\r\n Main Purpose of Job The main purpose of this position is to serve as the Assistant Director, Policy and\r\nAnalytics (P&A) Unit and primary pharmacy-related policy expert for the Office of\r\nPharmacy Services (OPS). This includes oversight of pharmacy related policies and\r\nrequires high level pharmacy expertise to initiate, plan, design and execute strategic\r\nprojects utilizing drug utilization trends, cost containment measures, budget\r\nforecasting, national and regional policies, in order to develop drug coverage policies\r\nby the Program. This position oversees the functions of the P&A Unit, the Pharmacists\r\nProfessional Services (PPS) and the Clinical Services (CS) Divisions.\r\n\r\n\r\nThis position is eligible for hybrid telework.\r\n
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidates must possess the following:\r\n\r\n\r\n A valid Maryland Pharmacist license from the MD Board of Pharmacy\r\n A Doctorate degree (Pharm D) in Pharmacy from an accredited college or university\r\n Six (6) years of professional management experience, including a minimum of three (3) years of experience supervising other professional staff\r\n Three (3) years of professional experience in clinical pharmacy, and one of the following: overseeing and coordinating the general operation of a unit, data analytics, applying rules and regulations or exercising responsibility for the development of policies and procedures\r\n Two (2) years of experience in monitoring emerging drug technologies, as well as, recommending and implementing drug coverage policies�OR�Two (2) years of experience in developing drug coverage policies using drug utilization, cost, budget limitations, and national/regional policies related to pharmacy services\r\n Two (2) years of Outcome/Cost-based studies experience\r\n Two (2) years of experience planning, initiating, and implementing innovative ideas in the Pharmacy arena\r\n\r\n\r\n
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Desired candidates should be a self-starter and self-motivated and have experience creating, maintaining and managing drug pipeline reports (minimum of two years); experience with pharmacological data analytics; and,� Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPSW) certification.\r\n
