Works in the Health Care Clinic coordinating the oversight inventory and ordering of all medication, both prescription and over the counter. This position coordinates the ordering, distribution and delivery of medications from the Vendor Pharmacy to the facility Health Care clinic and then to the prisoner. Serves as the liaison with the pharmacy, contacting the licensed pharmacist to clarify prescription orders or address medication questions as necessary. The position works under the supervision of the Health Unit Manager and is a drug and alcohol test position. Required Education and Experience Education Education typically acquired through completion of high school. Experience One year of experience assisting in a pharmacy. Alternate Education and Experience Alternate Education and Experience Possession of an associate's degree in pharmacy technology, or completion of a one-year pharmacy certificate program may be substituted for the experience requirement. you do not need to fill out the form) New hires to the MDOC along with previous MDOC employees that are returning after being away from the department for more than two years will complete Non-Custody New Employee Training (NCNET) either 40 hours or 80 hours of initial in-person training based on their level of offender contact and job classification. All new employees will complete additional online training to successfully complete their non-custody new employee training.
