Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A healthcare facility is seeking a qualified Pharmacist to oversee retail pharmacy services with a primary focus on medication procurement, distribution, and regulatory compliance. This role requires adherence to all applicable State and Federal laws while maintaining exceptional standards in patient care and pharmacy operations.

ASAP Key Responsibilities:
Accurately compound and dispense prescribed medications, ensuring quality and compliance with regulations. Review prescriptions for accuracy and appropriate formulas. Supervise pharmacy staff in mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals. Advise patients on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage when counseling is accepted. Maintain security of controlled substances and oversee proper disposal of hazardous waste. Manage pharmacy records, patient data, inventory, and third-party prescription system issues. Train and guide pharmacy interns and technicians in compliance with legal ratios. Foster strong working relationships with physicians and healthcare professionals. Implement loss prevention policies and contribute to maximizing sales while controlling expenses. Continuously pursue professional development to stay current with industry standards and regulations.
Desired Qualifications:
Licensed pharmacist in the State of California. Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.

D. accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Knowledge of federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations. Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to collaborate effectively and manage multiple organizational tasks. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and pharmacy-related software.
