Less than 1 Year Accepted Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Retail Pharmacist for a 13-week assignment in beautiful Alturas, California. Under the direction of the Retail Pharmacy Manager, the Retail Pharmacist will oversee all aspects of retail pharmaceutical services, including medication procurement, distribution, storage, and administration. The ideal candidate is committed to patient safety, regulatory compliance, and delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Ensure safe and accurate dispensing of medications. Oversee procurement, storage, and distribution of pharmaceutical products. Provide medication counseling and education to patients. Maintain compliance with all State, Federal, and local pharmacy regulations. Collaborate with healthcare providers and pharmacy staff to optimize patient care. Monitor pharmacy operations and ensure adherence to established policies and procedures. Maintain accurate records and documentation as required. Qualifications Active California Pharmacist License required. Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy. Current BLS Certification. Knowledge of current federal, state, and local laws governing retail pharmacy practice. Ability to maintain required continuing education credits. Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and support staff.
