Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Manager to lead our pharmacy operations with professionalism and expertise. The ideal candidate will oversee daily pharmacy functions, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and deliver exceptional patient care. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of clinical pharmacy practices, medication management, and team leadership within a dynamic healthcare environment. The Pharmacy Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining medication safety, optimizing inventory, and fostering a patient-centered approach to pharmaceutical services. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate all pharmacy activities, ensuring adherence to legal, regulatory, and safety standards. Oversee medication dispensing, compounding medications, and IV infusion preparations with precision and aseptic technique. Lead patient assessments by collaborating with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy and manage complex cases such as critical care, pediatrics, and pain management. Manage inventory levels efficiently, including stock replenishment, expiration tracking, and procurement processes. Ensure accurate documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide clinical guidance on medical management, immunizations, medication administration, and physiology-related concerns. Train and supervise pharmacy technicians and staff to uphold high standards of patient service and operational efficiency. Maintain proficiency in pharmacy software systems to streamline workflows and improve patient care delivery. Participate in hospital or healthcare facility meetings to support interdisciplinary collaboration. Uphold the highest standards of patient care through continuous quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications Pharmacist licensure with current registration in the relevant jurisdiction. Extensive clinical pharmacy experience, including LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy or hospital settings. Prior pharmacy residency or equivalent postgraduate training preferred. Demonstrated expertise in critical care environments and acute care settings. Proven experience in patient service roles involving patient assessment and medical management. Strong knowledge of pharmacology related to pediatrics, physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology. Proficiency in pharmacy software applications and EMR/EHR systems. Experience with compounding medications and aseptic techniques for IV insertion and infusion therapies. Familiarity with inventory management systems and medication safety protocols. Ability to manage immunizations administration and adhere to HIPAA privacy standards. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and patients. Prior pharmacy technician supervision experience is highly desirable.
