Job Description

Category Pharmacy-Director of Pharmacy Job Type Contract An established healthcare organization in Central California is seeking an Interim Director of Pharmacy to lead and manage a multi-campus inpatient pharmacy department within an acute care hospital setting. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide operational leadership during a transitional period, ensuring seamless pharmacy services across multiple hospital locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct and oversee daily inpatient pharmacy operations across multiple campuses. Lead, mentor, and support pharmacy personnel to maintain high performance and engagement. Ensure full compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards. Manage departmental budgeting and optimize resource allocation. Drive ongoing operational and strategic initiatives to completion. Collaborate with executive and clinical leadership to align pharmacy services with organizational objectives.
Qualifications:
Proven leadership experience as a Director of Pharmacy in an acute care or inpatient hospital environment. Comprehensive knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations, regulations, and compliance requirements. Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively through change and complex initiatives. Strong capability to quickly establish credibility and deliver results in an interim leadership role. Experience with major hospital EHR and pharmacy management systems is preferred.
Location:
Central California, multi-campus inpatient hospital setting.
Assignment Details:
Interim contract engagement, approximately 3 to 6 months duration. Flexible start date, with preference for an earlier commencement. Competitive compensation package available.
